Legal services: Kestrel Legal Services

A paralegal firm site that explains each tribunal, flags deadlines early and books the free first consultation.

Kestrel Legal Services in Ottawa is an example business we invented for this demo. The site itself is real and running.

Someone looking for a paralegal is usually holding a piece of paper with a date on it: a Small Claims filing, an LTB notice, a ticket, a WSIB decision. They do not know whether they need a lawyer, what it will cost, or how much time they have left. Your site has to answer those three things quickly and without sounding like a sales pitch.

We built this layout around that visitor. Each practice area gets a clear explanation of the tribunal and what you can do there, the firm states the limits of paralegal scope before anyone asks, and the request form prompts for the dates on the paperwork. The courts and tribunals you appear at are listed, and the site runs in English and French. The demo uses an example firm in Ottawa to show the result.

What this site does

Hero with the free consultation up front on the legal services demo

Start, from $50/mo

Hero with the free consultation up front

The opening screen names the tribunals the firm appears before, notes Law Society licensing, evening and weekend appointments and the free first consultation, and offers a single button to book it. A worried visitor learns in a few seconds whether this firm handles their kind of matter and what the first step costs, which is nothing.

Practice areas with full explanations

Small Claims, the Landlord and Tenant Board, provincial offences, human rights, WSIB and the Immigration and Refugee Board each get a card and a dedicated page. Every page explains how that process works, where people usually go wrong and what a first conversation covers. Visitors arrive better informed, and your first call starts further along.

Scope, fees and deadlines stated plainly on the legal services demo

Start, from $50/mo

Scope, fees and deadlines stated plainly

Three short commitments tell visitors that they will hear what a paralegal cannot do, that fees are discussed before work starts, and that deadlines are checked first. For legal services, saying where your limits are is what makes people believe the rest. It also filters out matters that belong with a lawyer before they reach your calendar.

Where we appear, and how far the office is on the legal services demo

Start, from $50/mo

Where we appear, and how far the office is

The courts and tribunals the firm covers across Eastern Ontario are listed by community, from Ottawa to Smiths Falls. A "How far is the office?" check lets a visitor enter a postal code and see the drive time. Someone in Gatineau or Kanata can tell straight away whether coming in for a meeting is practical.

Request form that asks for the dates on the legal services demo

Start, from $50/mo

Request form that asks for the dates

The request page asks which kind of matter it is, then asks the client to describe what happened along with any dates on the paperwork, and lets them attach a photo of the notice. It says clearly that nothing sent is advice and the first conversation is free. You get the deadline in the first message, not the third.

English and French on the legal services demo

Start, from $50/mo

English and French

A language selector in the header switches every page, practice area and form between English and French. In the Ottawa region many people would rather read about their rights in French, and a properly translated site, with each version indexed on its own, reaches them where a bolted-on translation widget would not.

Chat assistant for intake on the legal services demo

Core, from $150/mo

Chat assistant for intake

The "Need help? Let's chat" assistant helps a visitor work out which practice area fits their situation and collects contact details and key dates for a callback. It does not give legal advice. It catches the person reading at eleven at night after opening a notice, who might not call in the morning if nobody answered then.

Matter inbox, quotes and invoices on the legal services demo

Core, from $150/mo

Matter inbox, quotes and invoices

Each consultation request and chat lands in one back-office inbox as a record you can act on. A fee quote is built from that record and sent to the client, who reads, approves and signs it online, so the agreed scope is written down before any work begins. Invoices come from the same file, which keeps the paper trail in one spot.

Fast on a phone, video and all

The demo's homepage scored 95 for mobile performance in Google's Lighthouse test, measured October 14, 2026. Scores move a few points from run to run, so check it yourself: run PageSpeed Insights on the live demo.

Want this with your name on it?

The firm on this demo is invented, but every page is built from the same kind of description your practice would supply: practice areas, tribunals, communities, languages and how you handle fees. Change those and the site follows, with your licensee names, office address and phone number in place. If you want to see it for your own practice, send us your current website or your Google listing and we will build a preview with your name on it for you to review whenever suits you.
